The “age” of a company refers solely to the time elapsed since its original formation date on public records and the fact that it has remained in good standing with the Secretary of State. The entity has no operating history, revenue, employees, or business activity during that period — it is a completely dormant legal entity that has been “shelved” (kept in good standing but inactive) since its formation, which is why such entities are called “shelf companies.” AssetProfile is not a business broker and does not broker the sale of operating businesses. We facilitate the transfer of ownership of new or aged dormant legal entities only. After transfer of ownership, the buyer is solely responsible for all further actions, including obtaining an EIN, building operational history, establishing credit, qualifying as a foreign entity in other states, and making accurate representations to any third parties (lenders, landlords, customers, government agencies, etc.).
